Not Conforming…but Being Transformed

In the fall of 2015, we introduced Romans 12:2 as our theme for the months ahead. This text says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” We will continue to explore what it means for us to be transformed by God so as to know and live out God’s will. This is a tremendously exciting and challenging call, and we welcome everyone to join us on this adventure.

Worship at Covenant aims to place us in the biblical story of God’s creation, redemption and on-going love for the world. Amid the hectic, ever-changing and often distressing society in which we live, gathering as followers of Jesus is a continual re-immersion into the gospel story. That story calls us to remember our God, worship and praise him, and give thanks for God’s invitation to abundant life as disciples of Jesus. When we gather, we also recommit ourselves to being a living witness for Jesus as individuals and as a community of faith.

Worship services in our little church sanctuary are informal and welcoming. People of all ages join voices in song and prayer, and biblical messages call us to consider the whole story of God in Scripture and place our lives in God’s on-going work in the world.
